Things I’ve learned as a 17-year-old business owner – Part 1
Running my own business at 17 has taught me a lot. Not just about 3D printing, but also about dealing with people, making useful things, and running everything myself.
One thing I’ve learned is that people want things that solve problems. That’s why I started making paddle holders and laundry scoops. If something is helpful, people are more likely to buy it.
I’ve also learned that replying to messages quickly makes a big difference. People appreciate good service, and they remember it.
Shipping takes longer than you think. You must pack everything properly so that it doesn’t break. You have to get the address right. I’ve made mistakes before, but I’m getting better.
The last thing I’ve learned is that mistakes are normal. If a print doesn’t work, I try again. If something goes wrong, I fix it. That’s how you learn.
Thanks to everyone who’s supported Dahl Designs. I’ve got more to share soon.
